Not sure about other musical guests, but Brandi Carlisle absolutely SMASHED it last night at the dress rehearsal. We got a way longer Weekend Update than what aired (the other two pieces are on Youtube but there were even more jokes from Che/Jost) and the environment is super fun during the rehearsal. If you have the chance to see the show, I really do recommend going to the dress. The order that we saw the sketches in during dress rehearsal was also totally different from what aired live last night, which I was surprised about. Down to the timing between commercials, I think.Īpparently, even the versions that go up on streaming services the next day can be edited between the live taping and the dress rehearsal taping-I think sometimes a whole sketch, and sometimes they cut two pieces of a sketch together. Last night was my first time at a dress rehearsal taping, but I learned that they tape everything just as if it was a live show. We now have a Discord server too!
